Capcom Releases Sneak Peek Footage Of Ace Attorney 6 Gameplay

Announced last year in September, Ace Attorney 6 has been in the works for quite while. Slated for a June 9th release date for the Nintendo 3DS. The game will feature new and familiar characters, with original and iconic main character Pheonix Wright at the center of the action.

Traveling to the Kingdom of Kurain to reunite and help his old, mystic partner, Maya Fey. Meanwhile, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes–the newest duo of protagonists from the latter end of the AA series–are left in charge of his main office.

The game will also have an entirely new villain, which tends to be the trend with each new AA game, named Nayuta.

Today, Capcom showcased the first few minutes of gameplay footage at NicoNico Choukaigi event.

The sneak peek takes place at the very beginning of the game, when Phoenix arrives in the Kingdom of Kurain and introduces a new character named Bokuto.

The footage also features an inside look as to how the investigative and fingerprint aspects of AA 6’s gameplay works.

One improved aspect the game will feature in juxtaposition to the older games will be the ability to examine clues and evidence in 3D at varying angles (if anyone recalls the 2D static examinations we had to labor through in the first games–a labor of love, though!).

Ace Attorney 6 is set to come out this year on June 9th on Nintendo 3DS in Japan. We can expect to hear more from Capcom on a worldwide release sometime in the near future.
