As always, this isn’t an actual gameplay trailer, just a World Tour teaser but from the reactions on social media everyone is excited to see Street Fighter’s favorite mom Crimson Viper back in the series for the first time since Street Fighter 4.

From a story perspective it seems that Viper is working as a head researcher for SiRN, a change of occupation from her time as an undercover triple agent CIA asset, though that may be her role in this game as well as Seth, her original assassination target from Street Fighter 4, is implied to be the head of SiRN in Street Fighter 6. The player avatar will be helping Viper study various fighters. The example given is M. Bison, so she might try to study other psycho powered characters like Ed.

From what little we can gleam from World Tour teasers it looks like Viper’s jet boots and electro gloves are making a return, but that’s about all they’ve hinted at.

But Viper didn’t come alone! It took a year, but Street Fighter 6 is finally releasing more costumes, and they’re actually in season! Releasing on August 5^th these swimsuits for Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Kimberly, Manon, Cammy, and AKI will be sure to spice up Street Fighter 6’s aesthetics and definitely fit the absolute heat wave much of the world is experiencing right now. Hopefully these summer costumes are an indication that more Street Fighter costumes are on the way, the player base has been demanding more costumes and these are just a handful of the characters, but for now these will definitely tide over the voracious Street Fighter playerbase.

As said, the summer skins for Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Kimberly, Manon, Cammy, and AKI will release on August 5^th. Crimson Viper you’ll have to wait a bit longer for, with her release date being set to sometime this autumn.
