Brigandine Abyss Will Release August 27th on Console and PC

While action can be used in video game to create tense situations that require quick thinking, it is just as commonly used in strategy games to provide context to the player’s actions and decisions. In this way, these games are able to combine the strengths of board games that prioritize understanding over execution with video games that provide greater immersion and require less set-up. An upcoming strategy game, Brigandine Abyss, shows off all of these benefits in its latest trailer announcing the release date of the game.

Developed by Adglobe and published by Happinet, Brigandine Abyss is a tactical RPG set in a fantasy world. In its latest trailer, the game introduces the various factions that players will be able to pull their units from and command. These units each have their own distinct names, designs, and personalities and can come from the Gran Dragnica, The Scarlet Will, Mysteine, Purifanoe, The Samura Clan, or Pandemyuon, These factions each specialize in a certain fighting style, such as using dragons in combat or scientific research.

Combat is performed on a hexagonal grid map, with players positioning their units to engage enemies in 1 on 1 combat just like previous entries in the series. The Steam store page offers more insight into the upcoming game and its mechanics. In addition to the tactics in the battles themselves, players will also be able to command their army in a war setting against the enemy factions. They will also be able to enter story mode for a unique set of missions available for each playable group. The ultimate goal of combat is to either completely eliminate the enemy or find and defeat the leader to force a retreat.

The many resources that go into improving video games and making them immersive experiences also serve to enhance the experience of playing a strategy board game. In Brigandine Abyss, players will have the chance to get to know their soldiers and face enemies with complicated behaviors and tactics of their own. The game is set to release on August 27th, 2026.
