Both Microsoft, Sony Announce Halloween Loot Boxes For Overwatch

It has become clearer that Halloween loot boxes are coming to Overwatch. Earlier, it was only leaked that their will be Halloween-themed loot boxes by Microsoft, but Sony has also joined the party in leaking the Halloween-themed loot boxes.

The Playstation Store released that the Halloween-themed Loot Boxes should be available to purchase on Wednesday, October 11. They should be purchased in quantities of 2, 5, 11, and 24.

The Microsoft leak revealed that the Halloween-themed loot boxes contain new skins, highlight intros, emotes, victory poses, voice lines and player icons. There are over 100 items in total for the Halloween-themed Loot Boxes. They will presumedly work similarly to Summer Games loot box released in August.

The Summer Games Loot Box worked as a replacement for the current items until the event is over. According to the leak, missing from the Halloween-themed Loot Box is a Lucioball-esque. It probably won’t be mentioned in a loot box listing in the Xbox Store or Playstation Store. That was one of the major components of the Olympics loot box, so there will be something similar expected.

Since the Halloween-themed Loot Box is seemingly being released tomorrow, October 11, the launch of the Halloween event should be coming up soon.

Despite the links on both the Xbox Store and the Playstation Store, Blizzard has not confirmed the Halloween-themed Loot Box, but the game’s Taiwanese website released the following splash screen of Roadhog that is featured in one the game’s new skins supposedly being released in the Halloween-themed Loot Box.

Even though the image has been removed from the website, Reddit got a hold of the image. A post on the Reddit page for the game is written in a foreign language, but it reveals the time for the first release.
