Publisher Aksys Games has announced new details regarding the limited edition of BlazBlue: Central Fiction for the North American audience. This limited edition will be available alongside the standard version of the game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The limited edition of BlazBlue: Central Fiction will consist of a number of collectible items. The first is a hardcover art book which will contain 100 pages of BlazBlue artwork, in celebration of the franchise’s history. A mini Noel Vermillion Nendoroid figure will also be included in the limited edition. The design and construction of the figure was supervised by Toshimichi Mori, the creator of BlazBlue. The Noel figure will be “forged by the masters at Good Smile”, a manufacturer known for high quality figures. The BlazBlue Song Interlude III soundtrack will also be available with the limited edition of BlazBlue: Central Fiction, consisting of ten, in game music tracks.
On Twitter, Aksys Games also revealed that BlazBlue Central Fiction will not be dubbed into English for the North American localization. This is a permanent choice, as they are not planning on re-releasing BlazBlue: Central Fiction with a new dub. The main reason for the lack of an English dub is the time it saves on releasing and localizing the game. According to Aksys’ Twitter, this is due to fact that a dub would have delayed the North American release six to eight months, versus being able to have the game in North America only slightly later than it will be available in Japan.
Aksys Games also announced the inclusion of new character Es in the North American release. She will be released as DLC character, who will be available as free on the PlayStation store. The free download of Es is not permanent, she will be available for the first two weeks after the official launch day for BlazBlue: Central Fiction. After the two-week promotion she will be still be available but for purchase. Es is being described as a fighter with “strategic flexibility.” We have previously written about the inclusion of Es in the game when she was first announced, that article can be read here.
The official North American release date has yet to be announced but BlazBlue: Central Fiction will be available Winter of 2016 in North America and October 6th in Japan on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
