Bethesda Reveals Fallout 76 Year 2 Plans and New Battle Royale Mode Nuclear Winter

During Bethesda’s E3 press conference, they debuted plans for Year 2 content coming to Fallout 76. Titled Wastelanders, Year 2 will bring new content to the Wasteland. One of the biggest things of this new content will be the debut of human NPCs in the game. Players will embark on a new main quest in Wastelanders that will feature consequences and new characters for players to interact with. It will also introduce new weapons and armors for players to use. Wastelanders is set to come to Fallout 76 this Fall.

The other big thing coming to Fallout 76 is a new mode titled Nuclear Winter. This is a battle royale mode that pits 52 players against each other to see who will be the new Overseer of Vault 51. Players will be able to rank up in this mode along with having the ability to unlock special perks for this mode. There will also apparently be mutated creatures roaming the Wasteland battlefield that can attack players and give others the opportunity to eliminate them. Players also appear to be able to launch Nukes against each other in this mode as well. Nuclear Winter will get a sneak peak during the free week long preview of Fallout 76 which launches tomorrow.
