Battle Royale Mod, Battle Royalley, Created for Stardew Valley

I guess it was only a matter of time before Battle Royale made its way to sleepy little Pelican Town in Stardew Valley. After the game mode’s surge in popularity due to games such as Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, more and more games have decided to hop on the bandwagon and come out with their own spin on the game, such as Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. While the aforementioned games have released an official Battle Royale mode, Stardew Valley didn’t make the cut, but that didn’t stop modder Ilyaki from creating their own: Battle Royalley.

Stardew players wishing to bring a bit more grit to the farm (presumably bored by the slimes, bats, zombies and other creatures dwelling in the mines) can now take on other players in a fight to the death, right in the town square! (At this time, we are unsure if Mayor Lewis authorized the proper permits for a large-scale brawl in his town). According to the NexusMods page, up to 100 players can participate on dedicated servers, or can create their own; instructions on how to do both can be found on the mod’s page.

Players will spawn randomly somewhere in Pelican Town and can find weapons such as swords and slingshots scattered in chests throughout the town. Players can chop down trees and build fences to be used as cover, or utilize the town’s natural foliage to conceal their location. Just like other popular Battle Royale modes, the world will gradually shrink, condensing players to a small location in town. Like the rules of a Battle Royale state, it’s winner take all, last person standing (or farmer rather).

The mod was released on December 30 and was last updated just today, so players can expect support for the mode, at least for the time being. Currently, the mod is only available for PC players. Full download and instructions on how to install the mod, host, and join Battle Royalley servers can be found here.
