Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story Sets Release Date of February 21

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is the latest addition to the growing number of Riot Forge games, titles produced by third-party game studios in collaboration with Riot Games. The cozy crafting RPG is produced by Lazy Bear Games, a Lithuanian game studio best known for Graveyard Keeper, a graveyard-themed management simulation game, and is set to release on February 21, 2024. Bandle Tale is the sixth entry in Riot Forge’s game catalog, following Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, which was released on November 1, 2023.

The game was initially announced on September 14, 2023 through a YouTube video on Riot Forge’s channel. Fans were excited at the prospect of a cozy, cute RPG set in the League of Legends universe, specifically Bandle City. While all Riot Forge games are highly different from the multiplayer online battle arena genre of League, none have fulfilled the cozy simulation game genre popularized by titles such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, which exploded in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the game, players will be able to collect items, craft, and go on adventures with the yordles of Runeterra. Special events such as festivals will also be prominently featured in Bandle Tale.

In the latest trailer for the game, more gameplay was revealed, along with quests and cutscenes featuring some of League’s most iconic yordles, including Corki, Lulu, Tristana and Teemo. Additionally, the release date of February 21 was announced alongside the pre-order options for the game. Bandle Tale will be available on both the Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and Gog.com. The Standard Edition of the game will be $24.99, with the the Deluxe Edition being priced at $29.99. A Collector’s Edition of the game is also available for $149.99, and includes a digital code for the game alongside several physical bonuses, including an art book, figurines and wooden pins.
