Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets Yule Season Update

For players of Assassins Creed Valhalla, they can now celebrate Yuletide inside the game with the new Yule Season Update which came out a few days ago. While it is a free update, it is only for a limited time – from December 17 to January 7 and it is only for players who have completed one story arc, either Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire.

For the players able to take part in this update, they can collect new cosmetics and compete in new side quests. The update is centered in Ravensthorpe, which is covered in layers of snow and decorated festively for Yuletide. Within this area, there are a number of side challenges for players to complete in order to earn tokens. However, these tokens can only be redeemed until January 7. In exchange for their tokens, players can buy cosmetic decorations, such as a traditional Yuletide garland, a cozy fire pit, and more. Or they can use them to purchase the Mōdraniht armor set. In total, players will need to collect 775 tokens in order to buy all items in the shop. These side quests can take the form of drunken brawls, archery challenges, and more.

On December 22, in addition to the other festive cosmetic items available, players can buy the Niflheim theme in the Ubisoft store, which includes winter armor, a reindeer steed, and changes your crow into an ice dragon. This update is also the first of four seasonal updates Ubisoft is expecting to release in the near future. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also have two big expansions coming out starting in Spring 2021.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, and PC.
