Assassin’s Creed Crossover Coming to PUBG and New State + Ubisoft’s Brawlhalla

Assassin’s Creed is coming to PUBG: Battlegrounds in the form of an Assassin-themed crossover starting this month. PUBG developer Krafton revealed its collaboration with Ubisoft in a “multi-game collaboration that will bring the world of Assassin’s Creed to both PUBG: Battlegrounds and New State Mobile,” allowing both PC/console and mobile versions of the game to access the same content.

Speaking of content, the crossover will begin on August 17 with themed cosmetics, events, and added “world elements.” For cosmetics, we know that there will be over 30 unique Assassin’s Creed-themed costumes, from Ezio to Shay to Altaïr. Aside from these confirmed skins, there are a variety of bag skins, parachute skins, emotes, gun charms, and two sets of spray items, though we haven’t gotten a look at any of these yet. While PUBG, the PC/console version, ends September 22, New State Mobile will begin August 18 and end September 21.

In addition to optional cosmetics, the aforementioned “world elements” in-game will include Abstergo Industries with a specific spot on the Haven map, providing themed resources, Leap of Faith ledges, and a potential Animus machine. As the official Steam blog post says: “the largest multinational corporation entity… has established a temporary facility in Haven,” placing the responsibility of the Brotherhood in every player’s hands.

This Assassin’s Creed crossover comes at the same time as another, Ubisoft’s own Brawlhalla receiving Ezio and Eivor skins just last week. Of course, the franchise crossed over with Fortnite earlier this year with Eivor and Ezio coming into the game and has seen several other crossovers within Ubisoft’s umbrella, giving fans a glimpse into the developer’s clear prioritization of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. As internal documents have revealed their desire to find another blockbuster franchise following recent unsuccessful attempts, Assassin’s Creed will continue to fill that role into Ubisoft can do so.
