Artix Entertainment made the announcement that AdventureQuest World will be returning across mobile platforms and PC. This MMORPG first came out back in 2008 as a browser-based game. And now Artex Entertainment is remaking it from the ground up. They announced they are redoing the maps, buildings, monsters, items, and cutscenes from the previous game. The game will run on 60+ frames per second allowing for smooth playing with friends online. It was announced that the remake will have cross-platform play so people can play with each other regardless on the device they are playing.
AdventureQuest World: Infinity will have weekly updates with new content. There are thousands of items that are being converted into the new game as well as character classes. As an added bonus, returning players who already have an account can login into their existing account and all of their items will be converted for them. Along with these new conversions, the story of the game is being rebuilt as well.
The game’s story starts players off with the character, Hero. There is a war going on between the good and evil empires. A league of evil monsters led by Sepulchure the ruler of evil is set to destroy the town of Oaklore. Once they complete their quest they are met with a new challenge, the Drakath. Upon locating to Swordhaven, Hero meets the king. They are later attacked by Drakath who also attacks Sepulchure. Sepulchre is killed in the attack and Drakath disappears. Upon his death, Sepulchure’s daughter, Gravelyn becomes the new ruler and swears revenge on Drakath, creating a truce between the good and evil empires.
AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity is scheduled to be released later this year and is available to wishlist on Steam.
