Apple Announces Return Of Worldwide Developers Conference

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be making a return this year. According to the press release the WWDC conference will be held online in June from the 10th till the 14th. The conference will host developers and students at Apple Park where the latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS advancements will be showcased including any upcoming games and apps related to those platforms through a keynote.

The keynote will be available for online participants on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube. Additionally, online participants will be able to experience WWDC throughout the week and even engage with Apple team members and other developers through video sessions.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, shared her excitement at the conference’s return in a statement, ecstatic at bringing together developers from all around the world for the upcoming week.

“…WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful.” said Prescott.

Developers have the chance of attending an “in-person experience” at WWDC on June 10. In addition to watching the keynote, physical attendees that day will be able to participate in “special activities” and “meet with Apple team members.”

Student winners of the Swift Student Challenge, one of Apple programs that centers on the development of the next generation of developers, will be eligible to apply for WWDC starting March 28.

For developers that are interested in attending in person head over to its official website. Additional information on WWDC will be released by Apple in the coming weeks through the Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website.
