Looks like were starting out 2021 in style as Arc System Works has revealed the next fighter for their upcoming title Guilty Gear Strive. This time it’s the dashing Anji Mito, complete with his trademark blue outfit and his weapon of choice, the Zessen fans. He’s even got his signature tiny glasses to boot, something we’re sure the most diehard fans of the series are excited to see. Arc System Works also posted a new trailer for Anji Mito, and he looks to be in tip top shape for the new entry.
The reveal for Anji Mito is also very timely, as his birthday is today, January 1. Mito’s flashy fighting is a perfect match for the newer art style that is present it the game. Mito proceeds to attack his opponents with the Zessen fans, all the while looking spectacular with the same flow that he’s always had in previous entries. Of course, he’s also showing off his impressive abs, something that Arc System Works more than likely had to ensure when revealing him. Mito is just one of several fighters that have been announced for Guilty Gear Strive, which include Sol Badguy, Ky, and May to name few.
Guilty Gear Strive was originally slated for a 2020 release, but was delayed due to the world wide effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Arc System Works has since made a new release date, April 9, 2021, and hopefully they’ll be able to keep that one without any issues. Arc System Works also promises that the next fighter reveal will take place in February, and with such a rich cast to choose from, it’s anyone’s guess who it will be. Either way, it’s great to see the Guilty Gear franchise still going strong for more than 22 years now, and we cant wait for this next entry.
Guilty Gear Strive will officially launch on April 9, 2021 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam.
