We may see people play games with either computer keyboards or game pads, but we rarely have seen people playing games with a piano keyboard. Last weekend, in the annual event DreamHack for 2018, which is held in Austin, Texas, numerous players and streamers were involved in this three-day event participating in a series of competitive games. Among them, in the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament, a marvelous twitch streamer, Can EC Greg, best known as the Piano Man, stood out with his Rock Band piano keyboard to participate in the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament.
Commentators commented that Greg played the game as if playing musical scores of a tremendous Beethoven symphony. His performance received endorsements and made not only the commentators cheer, but made the live audiences as well during the competition. The cameras were giving close-ups to his fast-moving fingers to the piano keyboard on where he managed to control the game characters attack and dodge musically.
In fact, this wasn’t Greg’s first time participating tournament with his piano keyboard. He had already used his piano keyboard to participate in and reached to the high-rank ladder in some smaller scale matches before this tournament.
Although in the end, Greg was eliminated during the top 6, but he still managed to score in the top eight. When Greg was competing for the 6th place spot in the tournament, Greg’s opponent, KH Bllack, noticed the odd controller choice and gave the camera a peculiar look. Frankly, using a piano keyboard to play games is creatively entertaining and although Greg lost the tournament, he stole the show in the eyes and hearts of the entertained spectators.
