There are three packs of ten titles available to purchase as well, each highlighting a different era of Capcom arcade games: such as the 80s and 90s. Each of these packs is available for $14.99 and players can add on the Ghosts ‘n Goblins title for $1.99. However, for right now until February 25 Ghosts ‘n Goblins will be free as a promotion for their upcoming addition to that series, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection. For avid fans of retro games, there is the option to purchase all 32 games for $39.99.
On top of being able to play old retro games by yourself, Capcom Arcade Stadium allows for up to four players to play in a local multiplayer setting for certain titles. There is also a lot of flexibility allowed within the gameplay settings like a universal rewind feature, game speed, difficulty level, and more. As players journey through these games, they will earn achievements and can build their CASPO Class which unlocks aesthetic frames like 2D and 3D arcade cabinet designs specifically to “mirror players’ input commands to maximize the feeling of playing at your own home arcade.” Players can also complete challenges, in both the timed and score categories, to claim a spot on the online leaderboard.
Capcom Arcade Stadium is now available on the Nintendo Switch as of today and the Capcom USA Twitch channel will be live on February 18 and 19 to do a streaming marathon to celebrate the release of the Capcom Arcade Stadium.
