At The Game Awards, Capcom announced two games: Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection and Capcom Arcade Stadium. They released a trailer for Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection revealing the new storybook art style for an old, beloved game. However, they also announced Capcom Arcade Stadium which lets users bring old Capcom Arcade classics to their Nintendo Switch.

The release of Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection is a recreation of the original 2D run and gun platformer created back in 1985. This latest title will merge the classic platforming mechanics with storybook-like graphics as well as new obstacles for players to overcome. Players will once again control the knight Arthur as he attempts to run and jump his way across the Demon Realm in order to rescue the princess from the Demon Lord. Previous players of Ghost n’ Goblins will encounter familiar enemies such as the Zombie, Skeleton Murderer, Pigman, and Red Arremer. However, both new and old fans will be able to this game as there are multiple different difficulties to choose from as well as the ability to respawn with unlimited lives
Capcom Arcade Stadium will let users play 32 classic Capcom games from arcade machines on their own Nintendo Switch. Players can choose to pick any of the three arcade packs of 10 games which contain games from each era of Capcom arcade games. Players interesting in playing the original Ghost n’ Goblins can purchase it as a stand-alone add-on. For compatible games, Capcom Arcade Stadium will include a local multiplayer option. Each game also comes with a variety of options to fine-tune the gameplay to each user’s own liking, including game speed, difficulty level, as well as a rewind feature.
Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection is coming to Nintendo Switch on February 25, 2021, in North America and Europe for $29.99. Whereas, Capcom Arcade Stadium is also expected to release in February of 2021 on Switch, however, more information will be forthcoming.
