Inti Creates announced that they would be bringing both of their Azure Striker Gunvolt titles to the Nintendo Switch later this year. This development was revealed during the BitSummit Game Expo that takes place in Japan. And earlier today the developer announced that the retro styled platforming game will indeed receive a physical release for the new console this coming October.
Both of these titles will be coming to the console as one package and that will be titled as Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack. The game will not only include all of the original content of each of the games but also every bit of DLC that was released for both of them following their launches as well. These updates included new stages, boss fights, and game modes as well.
The developer has also improved upon the game’s look and frame rate as well to take full advantage of the Switch’s capabilities. Both of the titles will run at 60 FPS instead of the previous 30 FPS that it previously ran on the 3DS. The games will also feature redone menus, higher resolution visuals, and other improvements such as HD Rumble and support for the Switch Pro Controller.
The games will arrive on the Nintendo Eshop on August 31 and will be available for retail for $40. Mighty Gunvolt Burst, a spinoff of the series is already available on the Nintendo Switch eShop as well on the 3DS eShop. This title also has a retro style and lets the player enjoy a burst combo system that is triggered by shooting at enemies at close range.
