Design Home™ is a mobile interior design game released by Electronic Arts, that lets players create and decorate virtual spaces using real furniture and decor brands. The game challenges players with various design tasks that mimic real-life projects, and it also features a social aspect where players can share their designs and participate in design competitions with other players.

The game has remained relevant since its original 2016 release to mobile app stores, likely because EA continues to update its content and challenges, keeping the design experience fresh. Design Home™ has gained more than 131M players around the globe since its launch date and is recognized for using brands and designers like West Elm, Jonathan Adler, Williams Sonoma, Kathy Kuo and more in its design gameplay. It features 18,000 challenges, around 100 partnered brands, 61,000 furniture and decor items and over 3,000 locations, all of which make it an appealing option for mobile gamers with an eye for design.

EA and HGTV™ recently announced a special collaboration between Design Home™ and the TV series Fixer to Fabulous™ via a post on the game’s official Facebook account. The post states that players will be able to “bring stunning transformations to life as Fixer to Fabulous™ joins the world of Design Home™.” The new challenges, which are inspired by the TV show according to the post, will encourage players to create designs similar to those by Dave & Jenny Marrs, the Fixer to Fabulous™ hosts.

Design Home™ also released a brief video on YouTube revealing EA’s collaboration with HGTV™, which will release Play Exclusive Challenges inspired by Fixer to Fabulous™ and House Hunters™. The Fixer to Fabulous™ collaboration is currently in progress, and the House Hunters™ collaboration will be available soon.

Design Home™ players now have the chance to dive into fresh weekly challenges inspired by Fixer to Fabulous. They can take on themes like “Bentonville Beauty” and “Arkansas Amazement,” as well as new challenges based on House Hunters™ rooms. Players are encouraged to submit their designs using real brands, furniture, and decor to be voted on by fellow players for in-game rewards.

Design Home™ will be featured in a Season 6 episode of Fixer to Fabulous™ airing on March 25 at 8|7c on HGTV, with a streaming option available the next day on Max and discovery+. In this episode, hosts Dave and Jenny Marrs take a break from their usual building and design work to jump into the game, tackle the challenges, and show off their creativity.
