Monopoly GO! is the hit mobile adaptation of the timeless Monopoly Board Game, developed by Scopely in collaboration with Hasbro. Launched fairly recently in April 2023, the game maintains the essential premise of original Monopoly while adding new features tailored specifically for mobile devices. This includes timed events, special tokens, multiplayer interactions, shorter sessions, and animated boards that bring the game to life on screens. The app has gained a significant fanbase since its release last year, becoming the fastest mobile game ever to gross $3 billion. Its success is at least in part due to Scopely’s regular implementation of new partnerships and themed events.

The game’s Sweet Partner event was announced recently in a post via the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. The post shared that during the Share the Love event, players will have the opportunity to trade stickers (with a community goal 1.3 million trades), unlock community rewards, and complete collections faster than usual by supporting in-game friends. A link to Monoply GO!’s new blog post on the event is included at the bottom, where readers are encouraged to “learn more.”

Monopoly GO! also released a minute long Valentine-themed animation to their X account. The animation depicts the iconic Monopoly Man walking about, when he is suddenly pierced by cupid’s arrow. He then gets into the holiday spirit, baking heart shaped treats with his dog who becomes obsessed with gobbling them up. The dog tries to sneak his way to the said treats, when the Monoply Man surprises him by offering up the treats as a Valentine’s Day gift. The video concludes with the Monopoly Man and his dog dispersing Valentine’s treats to everyone and receiving some in turn.
