Zelda Wii U Delayed

Zelda is franchise known by gamers everywhere and is a game enjoyed by people of all ages. Zelda Wii U was originally announced at E3 2014 and it showcased a beautiful and open world, the likes of which a Zelda game had never seen. It had many gamers screeching with excitement like school girls when it was originally announced, including myself. After E3, producer Eiji Aonuma has been keeping us up to date on all things Zelda, revealing in a tweet that Zelda Wii U will not be showing at E3 2015. It’s also been revealed that Zelda will not be releasing this year and has been delayed to 2016.

In a YouTube update Aonuma talks about why the game has been delayed. He goes to say “So, I must apologise to all of you who were expecting the game by year’s end.”

It’s good to know that they will not rush this game, since the last original Zelda game on consoles was Zelda Skyward Sword released back in November 18th, 2011. “We are no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority, instead, our priority is to make the ultimate and most complete Zelda game,” Aonuma said, “I hope to use the added time to make a Zelda on Wii U that will reward you for your patience, so thank you for your continued support.” It’s always a good thing when developers keep us in the loop and not leaving us out in the cold with no information.

Some think since they will not be showing Zelda Wii U at E3 that they may intend to show Zelda Twilight Princess remaster in its place. If so, this will follow the trend of Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, and Majora’s Mask which have all been remastered. If that is the case, will this be news you would look forward to? Well, whatever Aonuma and Nintendo have up their sleeves, they never disappoint at E3. So to keep up on all things Zelda and all your gaming news, remember to check back with mxdwn games.
