YUMEXEI Publishes Steam Page for new 3D Modeling Inspired Hide and Seek Game “Fake Me”

YUMEXEI, the indie studio behind the online rendition of Rock Paper Scissors, Rock Paper Scissors Party (2025), is back with the announcement of another project. Fake Me was announced earlier this week, and is an online hide and seek game themed around 3D modeling. The game includes its own 3D modeling engine, similar to a simplified version of the popular, open-source modeling software, Blender.

Fake Me‘s objective for Fakers is relatively simple, as all they are required to do is “model, paint, and blend in,” with full creative liberty on what their disguise is. The system allows them to “model a single shape or combine multiple pieces to create anything [they] can imagine, from a small decoration to a large structure.” If the player chooses to go this route, they must “choose the right size, colors, and position to make your creation look like a natural part of the map” in order to confuse Seekers as much as possible and remain undetected.

If a player is concerned about their 3D modeling skills not being up to par, they have the option to play as a Seeker character instead. Like standard, in person hide and seek, Seekers are given instructions to “Find every Faker before time runs out.” Seekers do have the opportunity to explore their artistic capabilities, but stakes are lower than they are for Fakers. Seekers are able to customize their avatar from scratch, whether they choose to “paint [their] character and create unique costumes by modeling and combining different shapes,” “create something funny and unusual,” or “design a warrior with a style all [their] own.”

The time specifications for each round are not available to the public yet, but it is safe to assume that players are able to swap their roles from round to round if they get bored with one position. Getting bored appears to be a challenge, however, as the development team behind Fake Me explains that “because players build their own models, no two rounds are ever exactly the same.” Fake Me does not have a release date as of today, but it is available to wishlist on Steam for Windows players.
