Ylem’s Cat Jumps Onto The Scene with A New Announcement Trailer

Ylem’s Cat, a new “action-adventure” game, developed and published by 钻石猫, Diamond Cat Studio, was just announced. The upcoming game will be on Steam, and it doesn’t yet have a release date, but it did come with an action packed Announcement Trailer for the upcoming game. The Trailer showcases “Molly” and her cat “Mio,” whose names came from the game’s Steam page, Molly boasts edgy elvenish visuals with long semi furry ears, partly white coloured front hair parts, and both Molly and Mio have interesting white markings under both their eyes. The rest of the trailer lends to a clean view of the world of Ylem’s Cat

The trailer starts with Molly and Mio in a black and white filtered field of flowers, before a small looking Mio comes to wake Molly up from sleep. Molly would rather continue sleeping but something huge flies past overhead which causes Molly to sit up and pay attention. Molly meets another elven looking person, who asks if they’re “Traveling together?” and remarks on Mio’s small size. Molly mentions that Mio is “not that small actually.” A short clip then shows Mio in two different sizes, a panther-like size and hippo-like size, proving Molly’s words. Molly pets Mio who’s now somewhat hippo size next to her and tells the stranger they’re going “To the Giant” , which looks to be a giant baby statue, with pulsing blue matter in the middle, that’s “dangerous” to get to.

On their way, The duo encounter a swarm of “Sentinels” which Molly and Mio fight, with Molly using what looks to be a mystical sword- scythe weapon (with pointed sword-like bits replacing the scythe on top) to strike with Mio jumping in as well. The trailer teases joint combo moves, with both Molly and Mio fighting to take down some sentinels using somewhat identical moves, and that Molly’s weapon can serve as a bow. In times of peace, Molly pets Mio and Mio has a drink in a lake around a dusty and pinky hued part of the desert landscape. Mio shows off some of its own moves like a claw hit, it plays catch the light source and rubs up against Molly. In the trailer, a woman who looks like Molly watches her in the field of flowers, Molly looks back then runs towards her, from her desperation this may be Molly’s “missing mother,” who’s one of the reasons for the duo’s journey according to Steam.

The duo get closer and closer towards the giant statue, and they both observe huge fallen mecha parts and old architecture along the way. Some of them move, and a giant stone looking thing seems to fly above. The two race towards a slightly glowing giant cat statue, then fight a sentinel in another part of the world. The Sentinel shoots at Molly, but Mio blocks her with its body. The trailer ends with the two standing in the opening scene’s field of flowers, Molly’s presumed mother is there and she states that “At the other end of the cord I’ll be waiting for you.” As she speaks the filter turns from black and white to golden and warm and Mio rubs up against Molly’s legs. Molly asks Mio “What exactly……are you?” as they face the sunset. The two pop up again as the trailer lets us know that “KNOWLEDGE IS THE PATH” and more.
