Today, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced that the release date for Yakuza: Like A Dragon has changed from its original date of November 13, 2020, to November 10, 2020, three days earlier. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Ryu Ga Gotoku also announced that the release date of the PlayStation 5 version of the game which is set to launch next year. The original release date was revealed in August but no date was given for the game on PlayStation 5 until now.

The PlayStation 5 version of Yakuza: Like A Dragon will launch on March 2, 2021. PlayStation 4 users who get the game can upgrade to PS5 for free at PlayStation Store immediately when it gets released.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios also clarified that physical owners of Yakuza: Like A Dragon on PlayStation 4 can use the disc to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version of the game when it releases on March 2. They also noted that save data will not be transferrable between the consoles.
