Earlier this week, Microsoft and Xbox announced that a new Partner Preview would be coming which would include looks at several titles from third-party publishers including Tales of Kenzera: Zau, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, The First Berserker: Khazan, and more. In total, 14 games were showcased. Here is a full rundown of everything that was revealed:
Unknown 9: Awakening was first revealed and announced back in 2020. Now, developer Reflector Entertainment is ready to showcase more including more about the story and the first look at gameplay leading up to the game’s launch later this Summer. Unknown 9: Awakening focuses on Haroona, a truth seeker with a troubled past whose connection to a shadowy dimension known as the Fold has blessed her with powerful abilities. Haroona, played by actress Anya Chalotra, utilizes her Umbric abilities by harnessing the Fold’s potent energy that allows her to manipulate people, objects, and weapons from any distance.
Sleight of Hand is an upcoming third-person stealth game that will have players infiltrate the main character’s old witch coven using a cursed deck of cards in the rain -slicked city of taboo, where ritual magic and cursed artefacts set apart those with power from those without.
The Alters is a blend of adventure, survival, and base-building elements. Players will assume the roles of Jan Dolski who creates alternate versions of himself in a desperate attempt to escape from a planet where sun rays can prove deadly. The Alters will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and will be on Game Pass.
In Creatures of Ava, players take on the role of creature saver Vic, a human explorer of a rescue team sent to the planet Ava to save all living beings before an inevitable catastrophe. The game will revolve around learning the local customs of the native people of Ava, who have a deep spiritual connection with the planet and all its life forms. Vic will use flute skills to communicate with the creatures of Ava and will be able to see what they see and request their help to solve puzzles. Creatures of Ava will be coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2024.
Roblox players can play Griefville: Survive the Nightmare! now. It’s a “chilling interactive experience” inspired by the beloved classic horror films of the 80’s and 90’s – with horror movie icon Chucky at the center of it all. The new experience is available now on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox.
The Sinking City 2 has been officially announced. The sequel to The Sinking City, which was more of a detective adventure, will be a true horror game now. There is more emphasis on combat, while keeping a Lovecraftian narrative close to its heart.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone Trilogy features the cult classics Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat, now available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
Monster Jam Showdown is a new off-road arcade racing experience coming to Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2024.
SEGA and developer ATLUS have revealed that Persona 3 Reload is getting an expansion pass featuring three waves of content. The first wave is set to release next week on March 12. The Persona 5 Royal EX BGM Set and Persona 4 Golden EX BGM Set features fan-favorite tracks from previous Persona titles. In May, players will get the Velvet Costume & BGM Set, which features Velvet Room themed costumes for all playable characters and remixed tracks to further customize their dungeon experience. The last DLC Episode Aigis – The Answer will release in September. Taking place following the events of Persona 3, the S.E.E.S. members find themselves trapped in a never-ending day. They will journey through the Abyss of Time as they follow Aigis, a human-like android with the power of Persona. Players will undertake new challenges, and uncover the cause of this strange fate and the truth of what happened on that day…
A new gameplay trailer was released for The First Berserker: Khazan, which follows the betrayed hero Khazan who is seeking revenge against those who orchestrated his downfall. The game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S.
A new look was given for Tales of Kenzera: Zau, going more into detail on how the gameplay mechanics can be used for both combat and traversal. The game is set to release on April 23, 2024.
Frostpunk 2 is set to release this year on July 24, 2024. In Frostpunk 2, you must face a new deadly threat that appears on the horizon — human nature and its unsatiated thirst for power.
Final Fantasy XIV Online is currently available to play today on Xbox Series X|S via an open beta. During today’s Partner Preview, Square Enix has announced that the full launch of the game on Xbox is set for later this month on March 21. A Starter Edition will be available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks for a limited time from March 21 to April 19, 2024.
A new gameplay trailer was released for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess giving a better sense of how the game works. The game is a mix of intense action combat and real-time strategy. The game will unfold in two parts, day and night. During the day, players will be able to explore, purge defilements, and rescue villagers that can join you in battle. Players can also repair contraptions to provide an advantage against the Seethe’s attacks at night. Players set up their strategy and then, during the night, the battle begins. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will launch in 2024.
