Xbox Live Crashes at the Worst Time Possible

With schools and jobs closing due to the coronavirus epidemic, people are spending a lot of time at home scrambling for means of catharsis. This is pretty much an alley-oop for home entertainment systems like the Xbox One. The bad news is that it appears Xbox Live has gone down yet again!

Last night, players attempting to long online found themselves unable to connect. Complaints started rolling into Xbox Support who confirmed the issue and took action. The source of the issues appear to be technical disruptions, with some players having problems while others experienced none. The issue prevented users from logging into Xbox Live, therefore preventing them from loading digital games. The company took to its Xbox Support website to clear the air saying, “We believe we have identified the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live. Thanks for your patience as the team works to resolve the issue.” Early this morning, Xbox Support tweeted that they had made progress with some issues.

The online problems also affected web-based apps like Netflix and Hulu. Users should no longer experience these issues, though support implores you to reach out if anything isn’t right. With recently released games like Call of Duty: Warzone, which topped nearly 6 million players in less than 24 hours, it’s important for Microsoft to deliver right now.
