Xbox Game Pass Gets Quests For The Month Of January

Yesterday, Microsoft revealed several new Xbox Game Pass Quests for the month of January, where you can play games from the Game Pass catalog and earn up to 2100 Microsoft Rewards points. The points can then be spent on your membership or DLC. All you have to do is go towards the Game Pass membership area to see what quests are available. The month of January will have seven quests, and Game Pass Quests are going to be available in additional Rewards markets soon.

Any game from the Xbox Game Pass can be played to earn points. You can earn up to 2100 Microsoft points by completing up to the seven exclusive Game Pass quests before February 3. The seven quests are listed below:

  • Extraction Expert: Complete two specific extraction achievements in Tom Clancy’s The Division to get up to 200 points. You can earn points with each achievement. Complete this before January 31.
  • Metro Redux: Play Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux to complete four specific achievements and get up to 200 points. You earn points with each achievement.
  • Adventurer: Bring out your inner adventurer and get up to 200 points when you complete two specific achievements in Strange Brigade. You earn points with each achievement.
  • Achievement Hunter: Get points with your first achievement and continue to complete up to 21 achievements in any combination of Xbox Game Pass games to get a maximum of 600 points.
  • Genre Explorer: Get 300 points when you complete an achievement in three games from different genres.
  • Play Something New: Complete an achievement in a Xbox Game Pass title that was added in December to get 100 points.
  • Quest Master: Complete all Xbox Game Pass Quests to get an additional 500 points.

As you can see, some of the quests are game specific, but the majority of them can be played from any game in the catalog. Earlier this month, Microsoft added several new titles to the Game Pass catalog, the more well-known games being Life Is Strange 2: Part 1, Ark: Survival Evolved, Farming Simulator 17, Absolver, Just Cause 3 ,and Aftercharge.

Xbox Quests were introduced by Microsoft back in 2017. When you complete a Quest, you will get a guaranteed prize. Completing Xbox Quests also enter you in a draw to win exclusive prizes such as a new tv or a special Xbox console like a 24k gold plated Xbox One X. Xbox Quests are available for Xbox Live Gold members. Quests can be found in the Featured section of the Gold Membership area of the Xbox.

Xbox Achievements have come a long way since they were introduced back in 2005. It was once a way to show your skills as a gamer but has evolved to become a way to get rewarded. While some may not pay attention to their achievements and the GamerScore that goes with it, there are communities out there dedicated to getting every achievement from every game. Though the Quest system differs from the traditional achievements, Microsoft has done something very unique, and has provided some similar incentives for the Xbox Game Pass. You can utilize the points you get and obtain more content for the games you love just by playing.
