WORLD OF HORROR ‘AS BELOW SO ABOVE’ New Update Available for PC, Launches in 2027 for PS4 and Switch

When it comes to horror, some of the scariest is cosmic horror because it is completely unknown and unfathomable. So it’s perfect for video games, and if you add in some inspiration from the legendary Junji Ito, you get a truly horror experience. And that’s exactly what WORLD OF HORROR is: a 1-bit love letter to Junji Ito and H. P. Lovecraft. And the game is officially receiving an update dubbed “AS BELOW SO ABOVE” that adds 20 percent more content, which is available for PC now. WORLD OF HORROR ‘AS BELOW SO ABOVE‘ update will be available for both PlayStation 4 and Switch in 2027.

According to the developers, Panstasz, this new update “AS BELOW SO ABOVE” makes WORLD OF HORROR 20 percent bigger, adding new events, enemies, mysteries, characters, items, spells, curses, and injuries, along with a large batch of quality-of-life features and bug fixes. Two never-before-seen manifestations of the Old Gods raise the stakes: IKT-YOSIS, THE FIRST NIGHTMARE, sleeps in a gargantuan chamber beneath the mountains. And THE WAR FOR SHIOKAWA adds an extra level of terror, with four cults summoning their eldritch masters simultaneously to plunge the town into pure evil. The update also features three new playable characters: KIRIKO, a mysterious tarotist whose cards could determine the town’s fate, and SATOSHI, a young hiker and avid mountain explorer. The last thing added in the update is Scenario Mode, which introduces self-contained stories set before the main game, adding more lore and tying different mysteries together.

WORLD OF HORROR ‘AS BELOW SO ABOVE’ update adds about 20 percent more to the game, which is crazy as it’s a free update and is available as of now for pc. Those on console will have to wait until 2027 to receive this giant free update, but it shouldn’t be too long. WORLD OF HORROR is currently available for PC via Steam, GOG, and itch.io, along with PS4 and Switch. “AS BELOW SO ABOVE” is out now for PC and will come to PlayStation 4 and Switch in 2027.

Jorge Peredo: Growing up, I've always been fascinated by storytelling, whether through reading, watching, or playing video games. Having been exposed to storytelling for so long, I have been influenced, and through that influence, I seek to write and create my own stories that others can enjoy and that I can be proud of.
