Last week, EA announced the date for the official The Sims Shop launch would be Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 10 AM PT. Within two days, the shop proved to be a success with the majority of products sold out.
The Sims Shop features 16 products with both obscure and obvious Sims references. Even a non-Sims player would recognize the iconic Plumbob design plastered on various designs, but a more serious fan would understand why there’s a pair of athletic socks that say “Sul Sul” on one with “Dag Dag” on the other, or what’s the deal with all the llamas.
For a casual life simulation game, Sims players can be hardcore. The Sims 4 alone boasts over 30 DLC packs, ranging from simply including more items to the game to adding an entirely new gameplay aspect. With the amount of Simmers willing to admit the hundreds of dollars they’ve spent on the game (myself included), it’s no surprise The Sims Shop has sold out of nearly every single product before the store even hit day three of business.
With such a successful launch, it’s likely the store will restock. Still, EA hasn’t said anything on potential restocks, although that might be due to the holidays. For now, fans can view the following items on the website and see if they can snag any of the last ones in stock.
