Developer Toge Productions have put out a release date trailer for their Isometric Cooperative player-versus-environment survival horror game Whisper Mountain Outbreak. Gematsu confirms that Toge Productions has confirmed a Steam Early Access launch date on PC for August 11 and that an updated demo is now available for download. 

Whisper Mountain Outbreak is set in 1998 on the cursed Mount Bisik engulfed in a mysterious fog and overrun by otherworldly creatures. You will assume the role of a secret government bureau agent from the B.R.I.M. organization tasked with confronting paranormal threats; Your primary goal is to escape Mount Bisik, survive the monster threat, solve puzzles, and uncover the mystery behind the supernatural outbreak while working closely with your team.

In Whisper Mountain Outbreak, you can play cooperatively to explore infested locations, battle creatures, and manage resources. You’ll face threats in waves using melee and ranged weapons and use herbs to recover. Whisper Mountain Outbreak features in-game close proximity chat; You can rescue downed teammates,  and share resources. Experience points and resources can be exchanged for new skills and crafted items. 2.5 Graphics are featured in Whisper Mountain Outbreak, with 2D characters set in a 3D environment. Players may choose from one of three random classes, with six in total; Each containing unique perks and skills.

The trailer for Whisper Mountain Outbreak highlights photorealistic elements in cutscenes, as the opening screen reads “STAY SILENT. STAY HIDDEN. STAY ALIVE.” Also highlighted in the trailer is the ability to customize your character. Were also teased with a few classes, in Medic, Body Builder, and Sprinter.

Toge Productions aims to deliver a dark survival horror experience. By limiting player visibility, resources and adding a host of bizarre and powerful enemies, Toge productions may be able to step confidently within the survival multiplayer niche come this august.
