What’s Added In ReCore: Definitive Edition

Last week During Microsoft’s Gamescom keynote they announced ReCore: Definitive EditionAnd even more recently Comcept gave some insight on what will be included in this edition when it is released at the end of this month. The developer commented on the T8-NK Corebot being joined by brand new Prismatic cores that will provide the player with more gameplay rewards. Also the players will be able to view them on the map at farther distances.

There will be a new chapter in the game’s main story called “The Eye of Obsidian.” This chapter will take the player to a previously unvisited area of Far Eden. It will also be followed by ten new dungeons, two new overworlds, and a region in which surviving sandstorms and defeating dangerous enemies lurking in them will bring the player great rewards.

Players will also be able to cover more ground in a shorter amount of time due to the addition of three new fast travel nodes. And thats not all they do, these nodes will allow players to configure their companion party, make stash transfers, and swap cores. All these features will be added among many other fixes, enhancement and further polish added to the game.

ReCore had a lackluster launch back in 2016 after it received a lot of attention from it’s reveal during E3 2015. The vast open environment that was promised was devoid of activity and some of the gameplay features seemed to leave a lot to be desired from fans. However, ReCore: Definitive Edition may counteract all of these elements. Fans of the series will just have to find out when it releases on August 29.
