WHAT THE GOLF? Reaches Fundraising Goal, Releases New Prototype Content

Triband’s WHAT THE GOLF? fundraiser on Fig has already been massive success, and just recently, it hit its original goal of $50,000. With weeks still left to donate, Triband has treated its fans for their patronage by introducing two new ways to play their prototype game.

SUPERPUTT is the first addition to the prototype, and is the collaboration that adds golf into the world of Superhot. In this, players move around as a golf ball, but time is nearly at a standstill. Only once a player begins to golf does time move forward. Time your movements to dodge bullets, take perfect aim, and shatter enemies standing between you and the hole at the end. Golf your way to a brutal but satisfying end.

CLUSTERPUTT is the collaboration that turns Clustertruck into a golf-filled adventure. Much like the original Clustertruck, players navigate across trucks to avoid falling off in order to make it to a finish line. This time, however, you move from truck to truck by, well, golfing. You fling your character, carefully or not, from truck to truck, trying not to be on the wrong truck at the wrong time.

These new features to the prototype are completely free, and are currently available with the prototype on the Fig campaign page. You do not need to donate in order to gain access to the prototype, and these added game modes will be available in the final product of WHAT THE GOLF?. In addition, two other game inspired variants will be added to the game prototype for free as the crowdfunding campaign continues. What those games will be, however, will remain a secret until its release.

The fundraiser for WHAT THE GOLF? will last until March 23rd in order to try and reach its stretch goals. The title is expected to release sometime in Q2 of 2018.
