The Game Awards 2017 will be taking place this Thursday, December 7th at at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT with a half-hour preshow. The show will be held in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and, for the first time in Game Awards history, will feature a live orchestra. The aptly-named Game Awards Orchestra will perform throughout the evening with featured guest solo artists such as Avenged Sevenfold’s guitarist Synyster Gates and cellist Tina Guo.
In addition to the orchestra, this year’s show will feature a special performance by the French band Phoenix. A whole mess of celebrities from various industries will also be making appearances, including Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus, Aisha Tyler, Guillermo del Toro, Felicia Day, Andy Serkis, Justin Roiland and Zachary Levi, as well as some yet-unnamed “special guests”.
