After a short delay due to the civil unrest happening across the United States, Electronic Arts will host their annual EA Play conference later today. There’s sure to be plenty of big reveals and announcements heading our way from one of the world’s biggest publishers. EA Play is set to be hosted again by Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller for the second year in a row. EA has also teased that there will be announcements about games coming to the next gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
In the lead up to the event, EA has already announced a few new, upcoming games tht probably would have been announced at the event if it wasn’t for the delay. First, after being leaked last week, Star Wars: Squadrons was revealed earlier this week. The first look at gameplay for the game is also set to be unveiled at the event. Then, yesterday, EA showed off this year installment of Madden with Madden NFL 21. Reigning NFL MVP Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is set to be this year’s cover athlete. The game is set to release this August on current gen consoles, but is also set to release on next gen consoles at some point.
There are rumors that a new entry in the Battlefield series will be revealed at the event. Then, the heavily rumored remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy will finally be revealed at the event today. Josef Fares, the man behind the co-op game A Way Out, has also stated a tease for his next game will appear at the event.
