Ever since the trailer for Resident Evil 7 dropped, many mysteries about the game have risen. While the game is more than a ghost story despite the eeriness of the trailer itself, aspects such as weapons, story plot and rating has been unclear. Most gamers had suspected that the game would be rated M, but we still weren’t given a sense of plot or the weapons involved in the game.
Twitter user Wario64 released some information about the game with the following tweet:

The weapons confirmed in the game are “pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives, and chainsaws” that are used against mutated enemies. There are even more intense, glory scenes that could make a stomach turn here and there.
These include dismemberment by chainsaw and shovel, in addition to a shovel getting impaled through a character’s face. There are also areas that include mangled corpses with guts hanging out, exposed to the whole world.
More casual players who don’t like a whole bunch of profanity while playing games probably won’t like the game, as it has its own share of four letter words. Most gamers in the millenial generation shouldn’t have a problem, as profanity is in our everyday language, but new players to rated M games aren’t going to be used to the language.
You control the character Ethan, who is searching for his wife in a mansion. The mansion is shared by a strange, cultish family, but other than that there isn’t much that we currently know about the game. Fellow mxdwn writer Christopher May, also wrote an article about the new features, going more in-depth about the characters, the characters you fight against, as well as the new trailer for the game.
Resident Evil 7 is set to drop January 24 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, but the demo titled The Beginning Hour is only available for PS4.
