This past weekend Ubisoft had their first virtual gaming event yesterday due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic going on around the world. Even though fans were not able to experience the event in real life, the Ubisoft Forward virtual event did not disappoint. Showing off exclusive games that will be coming out and giving an in-depth look into four outstanding games that will have fans in awe. The event was streamed over on the Ubisoft website, YouTube, Mixer, Twitch, and across social media we where it ran through for three hours with the first hour starting with a preshow live stream of various information on what’s happening within the Ubisoft company to get fans more excited about what Ubisoft and their organization. But with all that, let’s get started to recap on what happened during the Ubisoft Forward event.
Watch Dogs: Legion is letting players have the chance to lead a resistance against the criminals and corrupt private military corporations that ended up twisting its near-future version of London. Players will be able to help rebuild the hacktivist resistance movement DedSec which is where every character players will see the game’s open-world as a potential playable recruit. Letting players build up to 40 operatives with a diverse and unique skill set that goes from street artists, football hooligans, and construction workers to politicians. With that fans will be excited about this game being released in the coming months see how they can help fight the resistance! Watch Dogs: Legion will be coming out on October 29th.
Brawlhalla is best known for their legendary battle for glory and giving players the chance to work up their fighting skills. Players will be able to play with 50 Legends and counting including epic crossovers like Ben 10, Steven Universe, and many more. The mobile version of Brawhalla will have the competition lively and have feature cross-play with all other platforms. Brawlhalla will be available to download and play for free on mobile both for IOS and Android devices on August 6th.
Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad is a free-to-play tactical RPG that comes with a massive roster of 70 characters that goes across the Tom Clancy’s universe. Players will be able to assemble a squad of five before heading out on a multi-chapter campaign to handle any new threat and save the world. Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad is coming to mobile devices on August 27th.
Mentioned earlier this month, Ubisoft shared its first look at Hyper Scape game coming to the platform very soon. But in recent news, the Hyper Scape Open Beta is now live. Players that own a PC console can download and play the fast-paced sci-fi multiplayer shooter game. In the Open Beta period features include free 30-tier Battle Pass which has a new submachine gun (Harpy) and hack (Shockwave). With the in-game shop, players will be offered additional customization items for player’s contenders along with weapons, drop pods, emotes, and more. Hyper Scape Open Beta is out now for a limited time only.
Fans were finally given the extended demo of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla where the game is set in the war-torn region of East Anglia during the event yesterday. Before the extended demo, fans were given a few descriptions and a small slice of what was yet to come for this anticipated game. In yesterday’s event, they decided to have a gameplay demo where developers showed deeper what fans should expect from this game and any added features. Players will be able to raid multiple locations, solidify new alliances from those raids, assault a fortified castle to free a captive ealdorman, attend a Viking wedding, and even recruit a cat raider to our longship. With everything being new to this well-developed Assassin’s Creed game, players will also have the opportunity to play a man or woman. Fans will get a chance to discover everything that ninth-century England has in store when Assassin’s Creed Valhalla comes out on November 17th.
Ubisoft’s next game in the Far Cry series, which leaked prior to the event, Far Cry 6 will transport players to a tropical island of Yara where they will have to fight for their freedom of their homeland from the brutal tyrant. In Far Cry 6, fans will notice a familiar face when playing the game and that is Giancarlo Esposito who is very well known from Breaking Bad. He is playing President Anton Castillo who will do anything to hold on to his power as he grooms his son Diego who is played by Anthony Gonzalez who starred in Coco. In this game, players will use all the weapons, vehicles, and allies within their disposal to ignite the fire of a revolution. Far Cry 6 will launch on February 18, 2021.
With all of these new trailers coming out and bringing back this excitement within the game world, Ubisoft also wanted to take a moment to thank the community of fans for their ongoing dedication and passion that they had for one of their more popular games, Rainbow Six Siege. The development team of the Ubisoft Montreal put a video together celebrating the five-year anniversary since the launch. They also wanted to thank their fans for 30 million-plus hours of gameplay for Might & Magic Heroes Era of Chaos over the past seven months of their launch. Ubisoft Forward July 2020 event has brought so many thrilling and well-developed games to so many platforms yesterday that they are bringing more games with another Ubisoft Forward event later on this year.
