Warcraft III: Reforged Officially Launches January 28, 2020

At long last, Warcraft III: Reforged has an official release date. The remake of one of the best RTS games in history is set to launch next year on January 28, 2020. Originally revealed at BlizzCon 2018, the game was scheduled for a tentative 2019 release, but with less than a couple of weeks to go for the year that started to look very unlikely. Thankfully, the wait won’t be long as the new date isn’t too far off from the intended release time.

Blizzard also revealed the numerous rewards that players will receive should they pre-order the deluxe version of the game called the “Spoils of War Edition,” and there’s a lot. Overwatch players will get special player icons and sprays, while Diablo III owners will obtain a little pet Mal’ganis, who is the nethrezim dreadlord that terrorizes Strathholme in Warcraft III. Heroes of the Storm players will be given four Warcraft heroes to play in the Nexus, and those who have StarCraft II will get special skins from certain classes. There are also rewards for World of Warcraft, StarCraft Remastered, and the game itself that are part of this special package.

You can check out the “Spoils of War Edition” pre-order page here. If none of these perks interest you, then you can always pre-order the standard edition for $29.99, which is also found on the same page. Warcraft III: Reforged also comes with the expansion The Frozen Throne, which focuses on Arthas and his path to becoming the Lich King, making the remake that much more enticing. At BlizzCon 2018, we were able to play demo build of the game and came away fairly impressed, and Blizzard also held the game’s multiplayer Beta back in October of this year. It’s been a long time coming, but the wait is almost over, and we can’t wait for this one.

Warcraft III: Reforged officially launches on January 28, 2020 for PC through Battle.net.
