VR Game Madrid Noir Releases for the PC

Madrid Noir is an interactive mystery and thriller adventure game that was developed by London-based development studio No Ghost, produced by Atlas V, and published by Astrea. It was first released for Oculus platforms in July 2021 but was recently released for the PC on Nov. 8, 2021. To play the game and fully experience its wonderful story, the game requires virtual reality headsets to be used, and it currently supports these VR headsets: Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.

The story begins with a look into Lola Petit’s childhood, where she spent the summer of 1930 living with her uncle Manolo, a sneaky detective, and his cute pug Paquita in Madrid, Spain. Twenty years after her summer with her uncle, Lola is now an adult and goes back to her uncle’s apartment in Madrid to pack up his belongings after he mysteriously passes away. To figure out the truth behind her uncle’s death, Lola needs your help to look out for important clues about her uncle’s life as you go back in time to experience her childhood memories.

Madrid Noir is a uniquely structured game and virtual reality experience, as it incorporates film and theatrical elements with beautiful animation. It also creates a whimsical story narrative that allows the player to learn more about the culture and city of Madrid, Spain throughout the game. According to Madrid Noir’s website, the game takes roughly about 45 minutes of gameplay and is presented in two episodic acts, where the player has the choice to continue playing the game or take a break in between the acts. Additionally, Madrid Noir first premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and the 2021 Annecy Film Festival.

You can purchase Madrid Noir on Steam and the Oculus Store for the regular price of $8.99. Currently, the game is on sale for $7.64 on Steam until Nov. 15, 2021.
