Upcoming Simulation Game, Truck Driver, Drops Release Date Trailer

Whether you find them rather interesting, or just cumbersome on your daily commute, at one point or another, we all wonder what it would be like to drive a semi-truck. On the road for hours on end, getting to see so much of the country, fueled by the rush of the open road and a big cup of coffee, being able to drive a humungous eighteen-wheeler is an experience if nothing else. For most of us, however, this is nothing more than an idle thought; the training alone to get a license to drive a monstrosity like that is enough to make most steer clear. Luckily, gamers will soon have the advantage of hopping in a virtual big-rig in the upcoming simulation game, Truck Driver, developed by Triangle Studios and published by SOEDESCO.

The game recently dropped its release date trailer, which you can check out below, and highlights the excitement of driving a tractor trailer, without the bumper-to-bumper traffic. The story follows that of the player character’s journey to becoming, well… a truck driver. “When you inherit a truck from your uncle, you decide to take your chance and move to a new city. Here, it’s up to you to make a name for yourself and earn the respect of the local community,” reads the game’s website.

Players will take jobs from members of the local community, hauling everything from steel girders to giant statues across an open world setting. As the story progresses, new customization options for their truck will be unlocked, allowing the rig to be fine-tuned to a perfect ride. Allowing for both first and third-person views, players will be able to cruise the highways as if they were behind the wheel while also having the option of a bird’s eye view for a less stressful parking experience.

Truck Driver is slated for release on September 19 of this year for PS4 and Xbox One, and November 11 on Steam.
