Fool’s Theory’s upcoming RPG The Thaumaturge has been delayed by two weeks to Mar. 4 to avoid conflict with February’s busy release slate.
Set in Warsaw in 1905, The Thaumaturge is a turn-based, isometric RPG where players can summon demons to aid them in combat. The game was originally set to release in just a few days on Feb. 20, with a demo currently out. Now, the game has been delayed until Mar. 4 so that major competitive releases do not impact its performance.
February has already seen major releases such as Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, and Persona 3 Reload, with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth still on the way. January also saw the release of large titles like Palworld, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Tekken 8, keeping players plenty busy.
The delay was announced on the game’s Twitter account and stressed that the game is complete, but needed space from a busy month of high-profile releases.
With February’s busy launch period, we’ve decided to move the release of the Thaumaturge to March 4th, 2024.
The game is complete, but we want to give it space so it can be enjoyed the way we believe it deserves.

“With February’s busy launch period, we’ve decided to move the release of The Thaumaturge to March 4th, 2024,” the tweet says. “The game is complete, but we want to give it space so it can be enjoyed the way it deserves. See you in 1905 Warsaw and thank you for your patience!”
Though some may be disappointed by having to wait a little while longer, this delay provides some much-needed breathing room from a packed February, and the response on Twitter appears to be largely positive.
The Thaumaturge is now available for pre-purchase on Steam and will release in full on Mar. 4.
