It has already been confirmed that there will be a Super Nintendo World coming to Universal Studios Hollywood sometime in 2023, and it is now confirmed that it will be coming sometime early in the year. Super Nintendo World will be the Nintendo-themed attraction with Universal Studios that could feature many different characters from their large collection. As many fans of Nintendo would guess, Mario has already been confirmed to be present in Super Nintendo World.
Universal Studios Hollywood confirmed that there will be a ride based on one of Nintendo’s most played games, Mario Kart. Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge will involve riders racing around tracks while throwing shells and collecting coins. The riders will be racing alongside Mario, Luigi, and Peach to defeat Team Bowser and win the Golden Cup.
Universal Studios Japan has similar attraction based around Nintendo, and will likely be the inspiration for the attraction coming to Hollywood. Universal Studios Hollywood say that those who attend can “Let loose in this incredible, colorful land of play featuring the groundbreaking ride, Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge, along with imaginative interactive areas, themed shopping and dining.” Naturally, all of the shopping and dining options will be Nintendo-themed, similar to the other attractions that feature these options in their park.
Some of the other attractions within Universal Studios include Harry Potter, The Simpsons, and Jurassic World. As Universal Studios Hollywood looks to the future with Super Nintendo World, they will surely use their past successes of other attractions to help provide the best experience for their entire community.
