Uncharted: Fortune Hunter Shut Down by Naughty Dog

Across the gaming world, more companies have been closing down their mobile games in favor of consoles. Nintendo has recently shut down games such as Dragalia Lost, and now Naughty Dog has announced plans to shut down game as well. Naughty Dog announced that Uncharted: Fortune Hunter will no longer be available to download on iPhone or Android devices. Additionally, all in-game purchases will be shut down from the game as well.

Uncharted: Fortune Hunter released back in 2016 alongside Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The game is a puzzle game that provides players with over 200 levels for Nathan Drake to play at any time throughout the game.

Although Naughty Dog removed the game from stores and disabled in-game purchases, players who already have the game are still able to play. The game is available to play offline until players get a new phone or delete the game from their devices.

Uncharted: Fortune Hunter may not have been a popular game on the app stores, but those who played the game really enjoyed it. It received 4.4 out of 5 stars on Apple’s App Store, while also receiving an average of 3.9 out of 5 stars on the Google Play Store. The high ratings combined with over 200 levels created a game that players would really enjoy once they downloaded the game. The announcement of the game shutting down is sad news for many players, but there are hopes that the Uncharted franchise will add more games as the franchise grows in popularity.

In the past few years, the franchise has not created much content for the video game world and has mostly stuck to the upcoming movie. Many fans of the franchise are hopeful for the future as Uncharted games and movies begin to grow in popularity.
