Today, Ubisoft revealed its plans for showcasing never-before-seen news, gameplay, reveals, and more for its upcoming slate of games with the return of Ubisoft Forward. The publisher announced two events. The first one is set to take place later this week on July 7 at 8 pm CEST / 11 am PT. It will be the first-ever Ubisoft Forward Spotlight and will be focused on the upcoming open-world multiplayer game inspired by the Indian Ocean during the Golden Age of Piracy Skull & Bones. On September 10 at 9 pm CEST / 12 pm PT, Ubisoft says that “Ubisoft Forward returns in full force, ready to reveal updates and news on multiple games and projects from Ubisoft teams around the world.”
It has been a long road for Skull & Bones since its initial reveal back in 2017. It was delayed multiple times in 2018 and 2019. Then, it was revealed that the game got rebooted and transitioned into a live service title. In 2021, the game finally entered Alpha following eight years of development. Most recently, a new leak suggests the game will get released in November. Whatever the case. we’ll learn more about the game later this week.
As for what to expect in September, Ubisoft already announced that we’ll find out what’s next for Assassin’s Creed. There have been reports that the next Assassin’s Creed title, codenamed Infinity will be an online platform that will include multiple historic settings that will evolve over time. We may also see the first look at The Division Heartland, the new open-world Star Wars game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the new Splinter Cell game that recently went into development, and a new look at the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake.
