Today, Ubisoft revealed their 2018-2019 financial earnings report. In the report, it was revealed that the company plans to release four AAA titles during Q4 of its current fiscal year. The report also shared that Skull & Bones has been delayed again. Ubisoft expects to make $2.4 billion during 2019-2020 which will be lead by the four upcoming AAA titles. We already know one of those games will be the recently revealed Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
The reveal shared some new gameplay features that will be coming to the game such as prone camo which allows the player to blend into the environment by using the terrain. Another feature includes how players can suffer serious injuries that can impact gameplay. If you’re shot in the leg, it’s difficult to sprint away from enemies and if you’re shot in the arm, aiming will be almost impossible. The reveal also shared some insight into the story and setting that the game is taking place in and teased what players can look forward to in the future such as raids which will be a first for the Ghost Recon series.
Skull & Bones has been delayed before. It was set to come out by April 2019 but will now be released after March 2020 which is when Ubisoft’s Q4 fiscal year ends. Skull & Bones was first revealed at E3 2017. The development team behind the game shared a message about the delay and announced that the game will not be at E3 2019.
