Ubisoft announced a barrage of new updates and titles this past weekend with their Ubisoft Forward presentation. One of these announcements was their partnership with Netflix and the three mobile titles that will be exclusive to the Netflix subscription service. These three IPs, will all launch next year on Netflix and are all based on three of Ubisoft’s franchises, an Assassins Creed title, Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, and Valiant Hearts. These titles will have no advertisements or any in-app purchases, ensuring that the experience is a smooth and seamless one.

Ubisoft states that the Valiant Hearts will be a full-fledged sequel to the 2014 World War I puzzle adventure title that was critically acclaimed. The game will also be developed by the very same team that worked on the original. Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a free-to-play action RPG that originally came out in 2015 for PC, and was later ported to iOS and Android in 2019. This version will be a completely new iteration, although no specific information was given in regards to any new features. As we mentioned earlier, both titles will arrive in 2023.
The biggest of the three mobile titles is the Assassin Creed entry. This will be an original entry in the franchise, and while no concrete information was given about its features or stories, Ubisoft also reminded us that there is still a live-action adaptation being developed for Netflix. With that in mind, there’s a good possibility that both the show and the mobile game will have some sort of tie-in, but that remains to be seen. Either way, this is a huge step forward for both Ubisoft and Netflix, especially with the latter only recently dabbling in the video game scene. Having a big name like Ubisoft on their side only helps this new venture.
