Today the game streaming service giant announced the opening date for ticket sales, early bird pricing, and a call for content for the first ever TwitchCon to be held in San Francisco, California on September 25-26.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 10 at 2:00pm PT and can be purchased at TwitchCon.com; discounted early bird prices will be available thru 11:00pm PT on Friday, April 24 (via the Official Twitch Blog).
A 2-day pass for the event will cost you $85 ($75 for early birds). But if you’re more of a single-day convention goer, you can snag a Friday badge for $50 (or $45) or a Saturday badge for $60 (or $55). And for those who like to turn up, you can also attend the end-of-show party on Saturday for $25 (sorry, no early bird specials here and requires badge purchase).
Those planning to attend the first ever TwitchCon can expect onsite activities to include a key note speech from Twitch CEO Emmett Shear, exclusive Twitch merchandise, panel rooms, and interactive events like meet and greets or broadcasting alongside their favorite Twitch Partners.
As TwitchCon 2015 approaches and details are ironed out, Twitch is seeking help from the community’s response to their Call for Content:
Have you been sitting on a great idea for a Con, but only if there was like a Twitch Con? Well, we did our part, so now’s your chance to present your idea. Starting April 10, you can submit your crazy awesome idea at TwitchCon.com. We’re looking for panels, workshops, experiences, or other Twitch-related presentations.
