Troy: A Total War Saga Will be Officially Revealed Tomorrow

Creative Assembly has been fairly quiet on what the nest installment for the Total War series will be. Well it didn’t take very long for us to find out because the game, now known as Troy: A Total War Saga, has been leaked via Twitter by writer from PC Gamer, and then subsequently on Reddit. Seeing that the cat is now out of the bag, the company themselves have tweeted that they will be unveiling the game tomorrow, September 19, making this official.

Other than it’s namesake, we don’t know anything about Troy: A Total War Saga. The image in the initial tweet shows a bronze statue of two ancient warriors battling it out, each armed with a spear and a shield. In addition, the headline “Epic Battle in a World of Gods and Monsters” is laid out underneath, which could mean we’re either going to battle literal deities, or fight with their banners in hand as they did way back in BCE.

Creative Assembly is already riding high with their other game this year, Total War: Three Kingdoms, which is based on the civil struggle of China between the three warring kingdoms, Wu, Wei, and Shu. The company recently released he games newest expansion, The Eight Princeswhich is unfortunately getting heavily review bombed on Steam. The reviews claim that the DLC adds nothing new and exciting to the game, and has little replay value.

While this is a bit of a setback for Creative Assembly, they did acknowledge the player feedback in blog by stating that “we’re really aware that players were looking for something else.” The company then mentioned that they will continue to work on the post-launch content while taking the feedback from the players. Hopefully the fans aren’t too perturbed by this situation, as the developer generally has a great track record with post-launch content.

As we said earlier, there is little to no information on Troy, but we won’t be waiting long to find out more. Creative Assembly will be officially revealing Troy: A Total War Saga tomorrow, September 19, at 7:00 am PST/10:00 am EST, more than likely on their official Twitter page.
