To Celebrate 2016 Hearthstone World Championship, Blizzard Will Give Out Free Card Packs

With the ever growing popularity of eSports, Hearthstone has become another game with popular competitive tournaments, and their season is about to come to an end. According to Polygon, Blizzard announced today that in celebration of the closing days of their competitive Hearthstone World Championship, they’re going to be giving out several prizes to fans. Blizzard’s new promotion will give away several prizes, one of which will be a free card park to anyone who simply taking part in the promotion.

To claim your free card pack, players will need to go to the Hearthstone website, log in and pick who they think will be this year’s new Champion. The free card pack will come from the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Grand Tournament expansion, released in the summer of 2015. After signing up for the “Choose Your Challenge” promotion and receiving a free pack of cards, players will also be given the opportunity receive additional cards for free with every win their chosen player racks up. The additional cards will also come from The Grand Tournament expansion but there will be a limit of six total free packs given away.

However, you’ll need to sign up today if you’re interested in receiving your free cards. The offer is only going on between today and Tuesday, October 25th. There will be another selection window for another pack of cards that will be available from October 31st to November 3rd, but these will be fairly limited in number.

For those who do decide to sign up, make sure to follow your player’s progress. Group stages will feature the 16 players that won the past year’s tournaments. The group stage for the Hearthstone Championship will be between October 26th and October 30th. This will be followed by the quarterfinals, which will be the final eight players. The quarterfinal will be on November 4th on the first day of Blizzard’s BlizzCon. The semifinal and grand finals will both be on November 5th, the final day of BlizzCon in Anaheim, CA. Blizzard will be streaming all competitions on their official Hearthstone Twitch channel.
