Titanfall’s Blisk Leaked for Apex Legends

A well-regarded data miner going by “That1MiningGuy” has shared that according to the deepest parts of Apex Legend‘s game files, Titanfall freelance pilot Kuben Blisk will be crossing over as an upcoming Legend. The datamine also reveals possible details on his mechanics, and Blisk looks to be well-suited for aggressive style play.

The first possible ability for Blisk according to the datamine is his passive “Interrogation.” After taking out an enemy execution-style, all the enemy’s allies will be visible on the map for ten seconds. This will make for great intel, but there’s a big risk associated with having to complete a full execution.

Blisk may also come with the tactical ability “Throwing Knife,” which deals 20 damage and marks the target. When a marked target is killed, the “credit” reward is doubled. These credits are then spent on Blisk’s ultimate, “Payday.” The description for Payday reads: “Squad kills award credits. Spend credits on powerful supplies. The datamine hasn’t supplied a list of items yet, but it appears that the player can exchange two, five, or ten credits for different results. It would be cool if one of these Payday items is the L-Star, which also crosses over from Titanfall.

Kuben Blick first appeared in Respawn Entertainment’s 2014 Titanfall, and appears again as a primary antagonist in Titanfall 2. It isn’t known exactly how this Titanfall crossover would work as far as the general plot of Apex Legends, but if he does make it into the game it’s likely that he’ll play a major role in the story as it develops over the upcoming seasons. Apex Legends does take place in the Titanfall universe, but the developers at Respawn have said that wall-running and Titans might be a little too unstoppable in Apex Games in an interview with PC Gamer.

Datamines are always speculative and don’t promise future content, but previous characters like Octane and Wattson have leaked with solid ability information before, so there’s fair reason to take That1MiningGuy seriously.

Apex Legends is free to play and available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Angel Tuohy: I'm a fan of a lot of different games in different genres, and my favorites are Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Tekken, Persona, Resident Evil, and NieR. I think games are a brilliant way to tell a story, but it's important to me that the game is fun to play too. I've recently received my Master's degree in Literature.
