It’s a more preparatory release, as the Playstation4 Pro doesn’t release until November 1o. Titanfall 2 will not be the only game with Playstation4 Pro compatibility; other EA games are also compatible with Playstation 4 Pro, like Battlefield 1, FIFA 17 and Mass Effect: Andromeda. In other news about Titanfall 2 itself, Respawn founder and CEO Vince Zampella hinted that there may more Titanfall games after Titanfall 2:
We don’t have necessarily a trilogy in mind. You always hope when you create something that it’s embraced and that people will love it for generations to come.
Zampella also says that there’s more that can be done in the Titanfall universe:
I hope we do more of it. We probably plan to do more–as you know, we have the mobile games as well. I would like to see the universe live on. I think it’s very expandable. I think there’s a lot we can do with it.
One of the mobile games Zampella is talking about is Frontline. Frontline is a free-to-play card game for iOS and Android. It comes out later this year as part of the partnership between Respawn mobile gaming giant Nexon.
Titanfall 2 releases October 28 on PS4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
