Time Traveling Puzzle-Platformer ‘Chronology’ Brings An Inventor and His Pet Snail Onto iOS Devices

Osao Games, an Indie micro-studio based in Aalborg, Denmark, that is dedicated to crafting unique and touching gaming experiences has announced today that their Time Traveling Puzzle-Platformer, Chronology, is now available worldwide on iPhone and iPad. Become an old inventor and have your pet snail follow you in this hand-drawn steampunk environment, which can be bought here. You will be able to play the first three chapters of Chronology in the game for free, though players will have an option in the game to unlock an additional five, longer chapters for one-time purchase of $2.99 USD. Though before this was released today, back in May, PC users were given a taste of Chronology when it was released on Steam.

In Chronology, players will experience a charming game that has been improved and remastered in order to give players even more. Play as an Einstein-like old inventor and what is this? Does he has a snail as a pet? Why yes he does, but this snail has been mechanically improved, it is faster than normal snails, but it also seems to have the power to stop time, which will help you reshape the outcome of their world.

There is also news about there being more additional chapters to come onto the iOS version, so be looking for that later down the road.

Watch the trailer that has been released for Chronology, below:

“Chronology begins as its protagonist – the Old Inventor – awakes with no memory among the desolate remains of a world once teeming with life. Upon discovering a time travel device, the inventor sets out to restore the timeline with the help of a talking snail who can stop time. Mixing classical fantasy with retro-futuristic elements, players will control both characters to solve the game’s intricate puzzles, switching between the beautiful, idyllic past and the dark, dystopian future.”

It has been a bumpy road for Chronology. After being Greenlit by the Steam community, the original developers had closed their doors back in January 2014, from that point on the dedicated and touching team of developers formed Osao Games in order to keep Chronology going and to be released to the fans. With it making its experience on Steam, it was selected as one of the eight finalist fro the Nordic Game Indie Sensation Award.
